Year 5 Fire Safety Workshop
Year 5 were delighted to welcome Sean from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service into our classroom this week. Sean gave the children an engaging and informative session all about fire safety in the home.
During the workshop, pupils learned how to identify potential fire hazards, how to plan a safe escape route, and what to do in the unfortunate event of a fire. One of the key messages Sean emphasised was the importance of testing smoke alarms once a week to make sure they are working properly.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the visit and left feeling more confident about keeping themselves and their families safe. A big thank‑you to Sean for his time and for the fantastic resource packs each child received!
