Year 4 – YENI Awards
Last week, Year 4 (LM) had the pleasure of welcoming Fionnuala from Young Enterprise Northern Ireland to our school for an engaging and educational session about our community.
The children thoroughly enjoyed learning about the various roles people play in our community and the vital services they provide. A particular highlight was our lively discussion about taxes—there was plenty of laughter as the pupils discovered that a portion of their wages would go back to the government! We explored how taxes are used and why they are essential for maintaining the services we all rely on.
At the end of the session, each child received a certificate to recognise their successful completion of the topic.
A heartfelt thank you to Fionnuala for delivering such an informative and enjoyable workshop on the world of work and community roles.
