Year 1 had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day yesterday. The children loved coming to school dressed as their favourite book characters or a creative WOW word. Their costumes were bright, imaginative, and full of personality. Perfect for such an exciting day!
The celebration felt extra special this year as the Year 7 pupils came to visit and read stories to Year 1. The younger children were captivated, and it was lovely to see the older pupils sharing their love of reading and spending time with their younger buddies.
The classroom was buzzing with enthusiasm as the children shared their outfits and talked about the books and words that inspired them. It was a joyful celebration of stories, vocabulary, and the fun of reading.
