War Museum Visit – Year 4
Year 4 were very fortunate to welcome Mark from the Northern Ireland War Museum for a special visit. Mark brought with him a fascinating collection of World War II artefacts, including Air Raid Warden helmets, gas masks, and vintage uniforms.
In addition to these hands-on exhibits, Mark delivered an engaging talk about life in Northern Ireland during the war. He discussed key topics such as the blackout, the Belfast Blitz, and wartime rationing, helping the children understand what life was like for young people during that time.
The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were captivated by the stories and artefacts that brought history to life.
A big thank you to Mark for sharing his time, knowledge, and incredible collection with us!
