School uniforms, PE kits and sports equipment are expensive items for all families but unfortunately each year many perfectly good items are recycled or worse still, disposed of rather than reused. This year let’s ensure that they are reused locally to help local families and protect our environment.
Many of our local schools run their own uniform reuse schemes, where pre-loved uniforms, PE kits and sports equipment are taken back and redistributed to the pupils who need it most. You can:
๐Offer it to friends or family
๐Try your local charity shops who will happily accept school uniforms for resale
๐Take it to the school uniform reuse banks at the Council’s three main recycling centres in Cookstown, Dungannon (Drumcoo) and Magherafelt.
