A special thank‑you to BEAM Creative Network for visiting Year 5 today to deliver an important and engaging Internet Safety lesson — and an extra thank‑you to Sue, our fantastic facilitator, for leading the session.
During the workshop, pupils learned how to stay safe online by:
- Keeping personal information private
- Understanding which apps and websites are age‑appropriate
- Recognising unsafe or uncomfortable online situations
- Knowing what to do if a stranger tries to contact them
The session was interactive, informative, and a brilliant reminder of the importance of staying safe while using technology. Year 5 listened carefully, asked thoughtful questions, and showed great awareness throughout.
