Year 2 took their Numeracy lesson outdoors as we explored the Story of 7.
The children rotated around a variety of fun carousel activities designed to strengthen their understanding of number bonds to 7. They threw beanbags to create story sums, used natural materials to build different combinations of 7, and rolled dice to work out how many more they needed to make 7. They also practised forming number sentences using number words and enjoyed playing one of P2’s favourite games, Xy Oy’s with a mathematical twist using the Story of 7.
