On Thursday 21 March 2024, our new 'Rainbow room,' was officially opened by Karen & Ashleigh Larmour, in memory of their much-loved daughter & sister, Gillian, who passed away suddenly in January 2023. Karen is one of our esteemed colleagues who works in our Learning Support Centre and the Rainbow room has been designed as a space filled with peace, calm, colour and nurture; a place where both neurotypical and neurodiverse children can go to re-regulate their emotions, use the resources in the space to help them return to a sense of calm and leave feeling regulated and peaceful. With the help of Learning Space representatives, Tracey O'Donnell along with her colleagues Andy & Shane, we have created a beautiful space that will support children currently enrolled in our school and children of the future.
We are so thankful to the Larmour family for the generous donation of £1800.00, enabling us to create this beautiful space.
