Numbers Day

26th Mar 2026

In Year 3 the children helped Peter Rabbit solve The Case of the Beetroot Thief!

Using clues found around the classroom, Year 3 turned into super‑sleuths. Each clue included a small numerical puzzle—such as adding and subtracting to 50, solving number patterns, or reading information from a bar chart. By using their maths knowledge, the children worked out which clues were real, and which were red herrings.

Step by step, they pieced together the evidence, analysed answers, and followed a trail of numbers that finally led them to the cheeky culprit. Thanks to their brilliant teamwork and fantastic problem‑solving skills, Year 3 cracked the case wide open and helped Peter Rabbit protect his precious beetroot patch!

Tommy Brock was no match for the Y3 detectives!
