Maths week in Year 4

For Maths week Mrs Wilson’s class hosted Mr McGarrity’s Year 4 class from Holy Trinity Primary School for a Numeracy Road show. First of all, the children were paired up and played a ‘Get to know you game’, then they worked with their partner to complete activities. Their behaviour was excellent and they made Mrs Wilson very proud!

In class we also worked on estimating things that we could do in 1 minute – how many times we could hop, throw a ball, write our names and how many cubes we could put together. We finished it off with estimating how many laps of the playground we could walk in 5 minutes. We LOVED our outdoor numeracy!
