Year 5 finished their Magnificent Machines theme by designing and making Rube Goldberg machines with junk materials. These are named after the cartoonist Rube Goldberg. It is a chain reaction-type machine designed to perform a simple task in a very complicated way. The children were able to use their knowledge of simple machines to create a complex contraption to put a ball in a bucket as well as having lots of fun.
