Green Day in Year 3
Today we celebrated Green Day at Cookstown Primary School, with pupils coming to school dressed in their green clothes to show their support for caring for our planet.
The day began with an informative assembly where pupils learned about climate change and how small actions can make a big difference in protecting the environment. We then got moving with some energetic dancing to the YMCA and the Macarena before enjoying time outdoors in the fresh air.
One of the highlights of the day was our walk along King Charles Walk, where pupils enjoyed exploring nature and appreciating the beautiful world around them.
Throughout the day, everyone was encouraged to make environmentally friendly choices by turning off taps to save water, switching off lights when they weren’t needed, and reducing paper use wherever possible.
It was a fantastic day filled with learning, fun and positive action. Well done to all our pupils for embracing the message of Green Day and helping to make a difference!
