Egyptian Day
Year 5 had a fantastic time celebrating Egyptian Day to mark the end of our Ancient Egypt topic! The children arrived in wonderful costumes, with many dressed as ancient Egyptians and others as enthusiastic tourists ready to explore.
Throughout the day, pupils took part in a range of exciting activities. They challenged themselves with an Egyptian numbers game, putting their maths skills to the test in a fun and engaging way. In another session, everyone enjoyed learning how to “dance like an Egyptian,” bringing history to life through movement and laughter.
In art, the children showed great creativity by designing and making their own sarcophagi. Their finished pieces were impressive and reflected all the knowledge they have gained about Ancient Egyptian beliefs and traditions.
It was a fun-filled day and a brilliant way to celebrate all the hard work Year 5 have put into their topic. Well done, everyone!
