Celebration of VE Day at Cookstown Primary School!

It was a fabulous afternoon at Cookstown Primary School as Year 4 came together to celebrate VE Day, an event that perfectly complements our World War Two topic. The pupils engaged in a selection of activities that brought their learning to life in an outdoor setting, fostering both creativity and camaraderie.

Among the highlights was the design of VE bunting, allowing the children to express their artistic flair. Additionally, they crafted VE Day commemorative plates, adding a personal touch to their acknowledgments of this significant historical event. To enhance our celebration, a delightful selection of afternoon tea party treats was enjoyed by all. To top off the afternoon, the pupils were given delicious ice lollies, which were particularly refreshing under the glorious sunshine. The bright weather undoubtedly added to the jubilant atmosphere as we united in remembrance and celebration of VE Day.
