During our topic “Birds, Bugs and Beasts”, children worked cooperatively in small groups to observe, discuss, and analyse the characteristics of animals, fish, birds, and minibeasts. They shared ideas, compared similarities and differences, and used simple vocabulary to describe features such as body coverings, movement, habitats, and diets. Through respectful turn‑taking and teamwork, the children supported one another’s thinking, asked questions, and made joint decisions, helping to deepen their understanding while developing important communication and collaboration skills.
