Our Primary 4 pupils have been enjoying activity-based numeracy lessons using Dienes blocks to support their understanding of subtraction with two-digit numbers (TU sums). Through hands-on learning, the boys and girls have been building and breaking apart numbers to visually explore subtraction strategies.
This practical approach helps deepen their understanding of place value and makes learning both fun and meaningful. Well done to all our young mathematicians for their fantastic focus and enthusiasm!
