ABL Highlights in Year 4
This week in Activity Based Learning, the children have been busy exploring a variety of creative and hands‑on activities. They loved making special Mother’s Day cards for their mums and grandmothers, adding lots of thoughtful and personal touches to make them extra meaningful.
We also carried out an exciting STEM experiment to investigate which materials are waterproof. The children enjoyed using our new water droppers and observing how the water dripped through the least waterproof materials. We discussed how to keep the test fair by using the same amount of water each time.
In addition, the children worked collaboratively to create weather dials and build 3D shapes from nets, helping to strengthen both their teamwork and problem‑solving skills.
It’s been a wonderful week full of curiosity, creativity, and learning through play.
Happy Mother’s Day to all our special mums, grannies and carers!
